Showing total spent for a customer

I’m trying to develop a section in a theme using the {{- customer.total_spent | money | default: ‘0’ -}} variable to show the total spent amount of a customer. But I’m getting the wrong value. to be precise I’m getting 95.33 when I should be getting 11556.90
