Page 1 of “Paid” allocates 6 entire rows to themes with the “New” tag. Promoting new themes is understandable, but this tips the scales too far.
Limiting to 1-2 rows that randomly rotate through new themes on page load would be much more reasonable. Existing themes are pushed so far down the page that their visibility is extremely limited. I mentioned this months ago, but this if the first time I’ve seen so 6 entire rows to new themes. Can we get someone to comment on this from Shopify? Thank you.
I noticed this too. When this theme store change was being developed, I remember several of us concerned that this would happen, that the same theme would take over the page with all of its presets, and we were told that presets of the same theme wouldn’t be shown next to each other like this. This seems to be the case for existing themes, but it would be great if for brand new themes, maybe only the default preset get’s the preferential first page treatment?
