Unable to Access Right-Click Context Menu in Shopify Theme Customization Interface

Hello Shopify Community,

I’m experiencing an issue where the right-click context menu is not appearing within the Shopify theme customization interface. This menu typically provides options such as “Inspect,” “Reload Frame,” “View Page Source,” and “Save As,” which are essential for development and troubleshooting.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Navigate to the Shopify admin dashboard.
  2. Go to Online Store > Themes.
  3. Click on Customize for the active theme.
  4. Attempt to right-click within the theme editor interface.

Observed Behavior:

The expected browser context menu does not appear upon right-clicking.

Troubleshooting Attempts:

  • Tested across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) with the same result.
  • Disabled all browser extensions to rule out conflicts.
  • Cleared browser cache and cookies.
  • Checked for any custom scripts or apps that might disable right-click functionality but found none.

Additional Information:

  • The issue persists across different themes, including both Shopify’s default themes and third-party themes.
  • Other right-click functionalities outside the theme editor work as expected.

This is the not the issue.
Shopify removed the right click feature in customizer thy had added. They are still testing it out.
