We are trying to understand the best practice guideline for shopify app signup that will take effect in Jan. 2025, see specific screendump and link below.
We currently have an app, where the merchant is redirected to our signup/login prompt, when they have clicked install app and accepted the scopes. They can use existing login since they can run multi-store on our platform. We are not using app-bridge, since it is not possible to edit settings in shopify directly. We use the app to sync order data, with our platform only
The login/signup prompt on our side, as we read/understand, is no longer valid according to the new best practice 2025?
Any ideas on how to solve this, should it be so, that we should take the shopify merchant and create a user in our system without asking for creating a password or anything?
We currently follow the OAuth flow as described by shopify and exchange this for an offline token, and we cannot see how to implement a seamless flow here. We use Auth0 to handle the merchants credentials on our side, so any ideas on integration technologies to use would be appreciated?
