We’re an affiliate marketing app, and as per Built for Shopify’s requirements, we’ve switched to using WebPixel 100% instead of ScriptTag. However, after analyzing our data, we’ve found that a significant percentage of shops are experiencing issues with WebPixel not loading properly on their websites.
The root cause seems to be slow page loading times. When merchants have multiple apps installed and those apps make frequent API calls, it contributes to the slow page load, which in turn prevents WebPixel from loading. Additionally, the slow load times cause tracking parameters on the URL to not be recorded in time, and users are often redirected to another page before those parameters are captured, resulting in lost tracking data.
Since Shopify requires apps to switch to WebPixel tracking, is there any support or solution available to help apps overcome this issue?
