What's next for Minis

We’re monitoring the performance of our Shop Minis and are seeing encouraging signs around user engagement. We have a number of ideas for improving existing Minis and potentially building new ones.

At the same time, we’re currently evaluating how much to invest in this surface over the coming year. To help with that, we’d love to better understand Shopify’s direction for Shop Minis in 2026:

We’re aware that monetization has been discussed previously, so our questions are more focused on the overall trajectory:

  • What’s next for Shop Minis?
  • Are there any high-level milestones or phases you’re aiming for this year?
  • How does Shopify define success for Minis in the near to mid term?

Any context you can share would be really helpful for developers planning their roadmap and level of commitment.

@hungle great questions and thanks for your early belief and investment in the platform. I can’t share specifics before they launch, but I can say that there are now more than 100 Minis available in Shop app and that our priority is making sure that the right Mini is seen by the right shopper at the right time. There are some concrete changes going live soon that we’ll post about here as they roll out.
