Hi Shopify!
I have a development storefront and submitted a test order using Shopify markets.
Shopify proceeded to send me a bill for duties and Shopify markets fees.
On a development storefront with a customer-accounts preview I shouldn’t need to pay $45 AUD to keep my development store open. This might be affecting a lot of developers who want to build a new API feature but don’t want to pay $ for submitting bogus payment gateway transactions.

You for sure should not be incurring any fees for testing transactions using the bogus gateway. I’m sure this is a bug on our side - have connected with our internal teams to get this straightened out.
I’m tripping over these fees too. I haven’t tested yet, but am I expected to billed for these tests? I even asked Shopify AI and it says its regarding a theme… but no way a theme would charge you money for testing…
Does Shopify return this money or if I place an order, it’s good bye money?
The bogus gateway is not connected with themes - how are you testing this where a real charge is being generated?
