Adding Custom Elements like Checkboxes to Shopify Checkout on Non-Shopify Plus Store

Hi everyone,

I’m currently testing on a free dev store, and my client is on a basic Shopify plan. I’m looking to add a custom checkbox to the checkout page so users can redeem points for a discount. I understand that modifying the checkout page might be restricted on non-Shopify Plus stores. Could anyone confirm if an upgrade to Shopify Plus would be required for this customization? Additionally, if there are any workarounds available on the basic plan, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!"

Yeah those sorts of customizations are Plus-only. One of the draws to use Plus.

You could add that sort of functionality at the cart level that would, for example, generate a discount code and apply it while redirecting to checkout.
