Custom Line Item Thumbnails on Shopify Checkout Without Plus Plan?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to customize the checkout experience by using custom images, hosted on my site, as the thumbnail for each line item. However, from what I’ve found, it seems that only Shopify Plus allows direct customization of the checkout page. For non-Plus plans, it looks like Checkout UI Extensions are limited to the Order Status and Thank You pages.

Has anyone found a workaround for adding custom line item thumbnails without needing a Plus plan? Or am I missing something?

This is what I used for reference, which claims without Shopify plus the Checkout Ui Extensions only works for Thank you and Order Status

Unfortunately not,

This is one of those things that is strictly controlled by Shopify. Without Shopify Plus I don’t think there are any ways around this limitation.
