Following up on our earlier post about what’s coming for Shopify App Pricing, the first part of our migration tooling is now available to everyone. With it you can draft and test Shopify App Pricing plans before switching to App Pricing.
In the coming days, we’ll begin inviting partners to test the last part of our migration tooling which lets you move your existing shop subscriptions from manual billing to App Pricing. Sign up for early access if you’d like to check it out and give feedback to the team.
Prepare your App Pricing plans
You can get to the tool from your app’s pricing details in Partner Dashboard. From there, you can:
Review generated plan names, prices, features, and billing intervals
Edit plans or create additional plans
Configure usage charges and app events
Test plans on a development store owned by the same Partner organization
Check your configuration using the readiness checklist and docs
Our team is getting into the nitty gritty of migrating off Mantle with the looming deadline. I submitted the access request here when this was first posted but we never heard anything or gained access. Any news or updates here?
@Benny_Chan we’ve been able to test Shopify App Pricing on our dev and staging apps no problem.
If I remember correctly, you have to mark the app as ‘Public’, which then allows you to edit the pricing details in the app store listing, but you don’t actually have to submit the app for review or anything like that.
I rather not migrate to the new model. The new page doesn’t look bad, but makes the app look like every other app, besides it shows the plans in an order that we believe is not optimal.
