[B2B] Unable to create a B2B catalog in a Dev Plus Store

Hello,

I’m trying to set up a test B2B dev store for testing.

However, I’ve noticed that even when I create a Plus account through the dev dashboard, it’s still not able to create B2B catalogs.

So when I attempt to assign a market to a B2B catalog, none actually appear:

But when I attempt to create a B2B market, I don’t see any option to define the market type as “B2B”.

Or is there a setting I need to enable to allow B2B market / catalog creation?

@Dylan AFAIK, Shopify is still working on the rollout of ‘new Markets’ – last I checked, it’s still in test drive for Plus stores only. That said, if you’re using a shop with new markets (which should include new Plus stores created through the dev dashboard), IMO the current MX for creation of B2B markets is a bit counterintuitive because the UI defaults/assumes you want to create a region-based market.

To create a B2B-specific market, you’ll need to adjust the ‘includes’ setting and select company locations. See this screencast for an example: Zight Recording 2026-01-19 ...

Hey folks :waving_hand: - @Kyle_W is correct. The new Markets functionality is still technically in test drive mode:

Just wanted to share this for more context and in case anyone’s lurking the thread for more info

Kyle’s screenshare does show the right method though, on an eligible “New” Markets shop, adding the desired company locations is how you’d do it.
