Hey All - We’ve observed higher LCP readings across many apps recently, with some variation depending on region and how apps handle their initial load (e.g. rendering patterns).
To make sure Built for Shopify (BFS) is applied fairly, we’ve paused enforcement of the LCP requirement. During this pause, no apps will lose their BFS badge for not meeting this specific requirement 2.1.1: Minimize Largest Contentful Paint (LCP).
Our team is reviewing these factors, including regional differences and app loading approaches to ensure performance is measured consistently and fairly.
