Title: Custom Onsite PIX Payments Extension Stuck in Submission for 4 Weeks — Beta Whitelist Issue?

Hi community,
We submitted our Custom Onsite PIX Payments Extension for review on April 30, 2026. It has now been nearly 4 weeks and the status is still stuck at “We’re assigning a reviewer to your submission” with no movement.
Our background: We are Pagsmile, an established Payments Partner with two already approved and live payment apps:
- Pagsmile (Offsite): Pagsmile - Empowering businesses through digital payment solutions | Shopify App Store (live since June 2024)
- Pagsmile Credit Card Payment (Onsite Credit Card): Pagsmile Card Payment - Preferred Payments for Global Customers. | Shopify App Store (live since June 2025)
This Custom Onsite PIX extension is our third submission.
What we think the issue might be: We recently noticed that the official Shopify docs state: “Processing a payment with an alternative payments extension is currently in an invite-only closed beta.” We’re wondering if our Partner account hasn’t been whitelisted for this beta, which is why no reviewer has been assigned. We’ve reached out to Partner Support but haven’t received a clear answer yet.
Has anyone else encountered this situation with a Custom Onsite extension? Were you required to separately request beta access even as an existing Payments Partner?
@Liam-Shopify — Could you help clarify whether existing Payments Partners need to go through a separate beta access request for Custom Onsite extensions? And if possible, could you check if there’s anything blocking our submission?
