Custom Tile UI Extension in SmartGrid Keeps Coming Back With "App Failed To Load"

Hello. I’ve created a UI extension for Shopify POS that would allow a product’s alternate barcode to be scanned, find the metafield results and add that product to the cart. On paper the code looks good, and I can install the app from ShopifyCLI 3.80.7 to our test shop, but when I try to add the SmartGrid tile it displays the correct app name on the tile and under that says App Failed to Load. Anyone else have this problem with custom UI extensions for the POS? Thanks.

Seeing same. No solution found yet.

I’d say check your api_version in the shopify.extension.toml file, make sure it’s a supported version (should be within the release year)

And if you’re using a Mac, try to connect your device to see error logs, you can see how to do that here.
