I’m reaching out to inquire about an issue that one of our users has been experiencing with disappearing Shopify Functions discounts in their store.
Summary of the problem: User created a discount using our app. After a few days, the discount disappeared from both our app and the Shopify admin dashboard.
This is the first time we’ve encountered this as only this specific store is reporting discounts being deleted. My first guess was that maybe this was just a bug in our app. However, we have checked our app’s logs, and the only code capable in our app of deleting discounts, which sits behind an API route on our app’s server hasn’t been called by this store since the discount in question was created.
I don’t get the sense that the Shopify Functions API would be directly causing the discount to get deleted, either. Given that it’s just one store, we’re curious if there may be any internal flags or settings that could be causing this behavior.
Any insights or suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Are you only seeing this issue with this one specific merchant? I can’t find any other reports of this issue so it’s difficult to determine what could be at play here? Is it possible the merchant uninstalled your app which could have caused the discounts to be deleted? Another possibility could be that another discount app could be interfering with discounts?
