I’m working as a data analyst and I’m having trouble implementing Google Tag Manager in my Shopify app.
I added the GTM snippet to my app, and I can confirm it’s installed correctly (verified with Tag Assistant). I also added a GA4 configuration tag to connect my app with the GA4 property.
The issue is that I only receive the default GA4 events like page_view.
I want to track specific button clicks on my pricing page. I created both the trigger and the GA4 event tag in GTM, and inside Preview mode I can see that the trigger fires — but the tag shows this message:
“No hits were sent by this tag. Other tags on this page may have taken action.”
Also, I can’t see any live action GA4 DebugView.
Has anyone experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it? Any help would be appreciated!
