I’m trying to figure out how to have a development store while having a Merchant Plus account. I originally created a Partner account so I could develop my own apps, but now, with the migration to the Dev Dashboard, I can’t test my apps because Shopify recognizes me as a merchant instead of a partner.
I tried creating a new Partner account using an alias of my email address, but that account doesn’t get access to the Dev Dashboard, even though I granted the necessary permissions.
Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround?

What I mean is that in my dev dashboard I can’t create a dev store — I don’t have that option available. My account is a merchant account, but since I’m using the same email for both my merchant and partner profiles, the system recognizes me as a merchant. According to the documentation I’ve read, that’s why I don’t have access to that option.
I created the partner profile because it was the only way to develop my own apps.
