How will Personal Agent Protocol sessions surface to apps?

We build Tactical, a Shopify app that attributes sessions and orders to AI agents (crawlers, agent browsers, buyers referred by AI answers). Shopify is a partner in the Personal Agent Protocol that Sierra and Meta announced on October 6, and we’re planning for it. Three questions, once v0.1 lands and Shopify implements it:

  1. Order attribution. Will an order placed in a PAP session carry something apps can read (a channel marker, a note attribute or a new field) that names the agent and shows it was a protocol session, not a browser agent operating the storefront? For Shopify’s existing AI channels, is source_name plus the sales channel the intended signal, and will PAP use the same path?
  2. Session identity. Will the protocol session ID, which spans guest browsing, sign-in and the order, be exposed to apps through webhooks or Customer Events?
  3. Merchant controls. Will the Agentic channel settings (direct checkout, product eligibility) extend to PAP agents, and will the Admin API expose them?

Thanks.
