However, the Help Center page about “Manual payment methods” still states that this feature is only available on Shopify Plus plans. Since then, this restriction has disappeared from the documentation:

That said, the feature still does not seem to be available on non-Plus plans. I’ve spoken with multiple support agents: one said it’s now available on all plans, while others insisted it’s still limited to Shopify Plus, despite the restriction being removed from the Help Center article.
Does anyone have reliable information about this?
Is there a separate activation required for non-Plus plans? I tried asking for activation, but I’m still being told it’s not available.
Does anyone know whether this feature is expected to roll out to other plans in the near future? Or is it already available and the support team is simply giving inconsistent or incorrect information?
For a European store, this feature is extremely important, as Cash on Delivery is very popular and almost every country uses a different currency.
Hey @Gabor_Benikovszky - since this is really a plan/feature availability question rather than a dev question, the merchant community or Shopify Support would be better places for follow-up questions about plan eligibility.
Having said that, I totally understand the frustration here, the documentation situation is confusing and support giving conflicting answers doesn’t help.
Looking at your screenshots, it seems like the docs change wasn’t removing the Plus restriction to make the feature more widely available - that paragraph was moved to the B2B payment methods page where the docs team presumably felt it was more relevant. The Plus + Shopify Payments requirement is still there, just documented in a different location now.
So to confirm, multi-currency for manual payment methods is still Plus-only. It requires Shopify Plus with Shopify Payments activated, and it’s not automatically enabled - Plus merchants can turn it on via Test Drive (the feature testing tool in organization settings).
As for whether this will expand to other plans - there’s nothing publicly announced on that front. I’ve added your feedback as a feature request internally though, so hopefully this is something that can be implemented in the future - thanks for raising this!
We are on the Plus plan and can not see any features in the Feature Test drive. How this features should be enabled ?
Hey @Aleksejs_Vladimirovs - the feature is available through Test Drive, but there are a couple of prerequisites that could explain why you’re not seeing it.
The multi-currency manual payments feature requires Shopify Payments to be active on the store, so confirm that’s set up. You also need to be the organization owner or have a role with the “Feature test drives” organization permission.
If you’ve confirmed all of the above and the feature still isn’t showing up, I’d recommend reaching out to Shopify Support directly. They can look into your specific organization and help get it sorted. This is more of a plan/feature availability question than a developer platform one, so the support team will be better positioned to dig into the specifics of your account.
