Next-Gen Dev Platform: Hot reload not working (live code changes not updating during shopify app dev)

I’m working with the Shopify Next-GenThe tunnel starts fine and the app loads in my development store, but any code changes I make are not showing live in the store preview. I have to restart shopify app dev each time to see the update.

  • Steps I followed for migration:

    1. Upgraded to the latest CLI (@shopify/cli/3.84.1).

    2. Ran shopify app config link to connect the app to Next-Gen.

    3. Updated scopes in my app setup.

    4. Deployed once with shopify app deploy (just to confirm it works).

    5. Confirmed the app shows under Dev Platform in the Partner Dashboard.

After this, the app loads fine in my development store, but hot reload doesn’t seem to work.

Would appreciate any help or tips from others who’ve run into this :folded_hands:

Can you share more about the steps you’re taking after running shopify app dev and loading your app in a dev store? What changes are you making to your app during your preview session in the dev store?
