Recurring subtotal line misleading price hurts conversions

As mentioned in the post that solved this thread, this is fully expected behaviour with no plans to change at this time.

That said, our developers are aware of this limitation and how it affects certain partners and merchants, and we do take all of our merchant and partner feedback into great value when determining future features and platform updates.

While we can’t guarantee whether this will be changed or not in the future, I would recommend subscribing to our Shopify.dev changelog to be notified of any platform changes that may affect this down the road.

@Kellan-Shopify With all due respect, we can’t solely rely on the changelogs (merchant-facing or dev-facing) because those posts are clearly cherry-picked. Not all platform changes are documented in the changelogs. For example, where is the changelog post for the change you mentioned below?

I can confirm that the customization of this field was removed again yesterday, and I’m no longer able to customize this on my own test store as well.

At this time, customizing the Recurring Total and Subtotal and Subscription and purchase option agreement labels are only available for stores on the Shopify Plus Plan moving forward, this change was made in order to protect our buyer integrity. Additionally any non-Plus merchants with existing customizations on this label have received email notification of these changes in advance.
