Hi everyone!
I searched the documentation but couldn’t find anything regarding this issue. I need assistance with the “additional information” section in the checkout process. Unlike the rest of the checkout information, I am unable to change its name within the default theme content.
This issue is crucial because these fields contain standard information necessary for product billing. I simply need to change the name!
Can I modify it through code? If so, where can I find the correct section?

To help troubleshoot this issue, we’ll need more info, eg: name of theme, version, screenshots etc.

I’m using the Pipeline theme. Normally, all texts can be modified through the “edit default theme content” section, but we can’t find these specific texts. I just need to change “PEC” to “SDI” and “Codice Fiscale” to “Partita IVA”.

Hi again, so none of the content on the Shopify checkout page is controlled by the theme. There are some text elements that can be changed, these are found in the “Checkout & system” tab in the language view in the editor:

Exactly, I looked inside “Checkout&System” but I couldn’t find the matching entry. I found almost all of them except the two I needed!
I just need to modify the text, not the text box UI.
Do I always have to refer to the extension?

Hey @Jacopo_C_Colli_HF is this field coming from a checkout UI extension? If yes, than you’ll have to customize the extension and not the default content.
I’m not familiar with the field so not sure if it’s part of Native checkout by shopify
Hi @Jacopo_C_Colli_HF, it looks like these two additional fields are indeed missing from the default theme translations. They are only are appended to the DOM after the user completely fills in the shipping information and selects Italy as a country, so this is maybe why they are not present in the default theme translations.
Documentation about these two fields from the Shopify help center. So they are definitely part of the native checkout, but not editable at the moment from what I can see

I haven’t installed any checkout UI extensions; it’s the native checkout. It doesn’t seem to be modifiable though, and I can’t understand why. Any ideas?

I think it’s a lapse on shopify’s end, they may have missed adding the option to edit this.
