Shop Minis January 2026 Update: New Dashboard, Discovery Updates, and Office Hours

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

Quick update on what’s been shipping — and what’s coming. Here’s what’s new:

npx minis dashboard

You can now check your submission status, review feedback, and see performance metrics (opens, orders, sales) right from the CLI. No more guessing.

Discovery: Curated Explore Screen

The Explore tab in Shop now features hand-picked categories — Snap & Shop, Design Your Space, Beauty Solutions, Play & Shop. If your Mini delivers a great experience, this is how new buyers find it.

Other Highlights

  • Delayed Consent — Consent screens now show before your Mini loads. Customize your splash screen to make a strong first impression.
  • Product List Privacy Controls — You can now create public/private wishlists with setProductListVisibility.
  • UGC DocumentationFull guide for useCreateImageContent, moderation statuses, and ContentWrapper.
  • Trusted Domains fix — Trailing slash handling fixed. If remote images weren’t loading, this is probably why.

We’re investing heavily in this platform and we want you to keep investing too. Every submission we review teaches us how to make this better, whether it ships on the first try or the third.

Hi @davidhoffman-shopify thanks for the update. I am trying to play around with the minis and cannot find how to customize the splash screen and what can be customized on the consent screen. This screen does not show on the emulator even when specifying scopes, permissions and privacy and terms links.

@Jonida_Mersinllari The splash screen is what shows up first when your Mini loads, while we wait for the user to give consent to continue in the Mini.

You can test this on any live Mini by opening it. If you’ve already granted consent, you can reset it by going to Profile → Settings → Connections, then removing the Mini’s permissions.

The actual consent sheet can’t be customized beyond what scopes you choose in your manifest.

Right now, there is no way to test this in dev mode.

Hope that helps!

Just FYI, the Mini package in the npm registry is “shop-minis” and dashboard command that worked for me is: “npx shop-minis dashboard”
If “npx minis dashboard” does not work for you, try ““npx shop-minis dashboard””
