Hi everyone,
I submitted my app to the Shopify App Store on 30 January 2026. I received the confirmation email saying that the review process can take up to 2 weeks.
Now 2 weeks have already been completed, but I have not received any update yet.
I just wanted to ask from the community, is this normal? Does Shopify sometimes take more than 2 weeks for app review? How much more time should I expect?
Would appreciate your experience and guidance.

The review team are most likely receiving a high submission of apps currently so delays are to be expected.
Please be patient.
I bet the review team is drowning in the “AI gold rush”. Since vibe coding became a thing, the barrier to entry has basically vanished. No offence guys, I’m not saying is 100% bad thing.
That actually makes sense.
With so many AI-based apps launching recently, I can understand why the review team might be overloaded. Hopefully things move forward soon.
