App review pending for an unusually long time – looking for guidance on approval timelines

Hi Shopify team,

We submitted our app for review quite some time ago, and the status has been “In review” without any updates for an extended period. We wanted to check whether this delay is expected or if there’s anything additional we should do on our side.

Here are the details:

  • The app was submitted following all Shopify App Store Review Guidelines

  • All required information, test credentials, and documentation were provided

  • No rejection feedback or follow-up questions have been received so far

  • The app is fully functional and ready for review

At this point, we’re mainly trying to understand:

  • Whether long review times like this are normal

  • If there is a way to get visibility into the current review status

  • Or if we should resubmit / make any changes to help move the process forward

We truly appreciate the effort that goes into app reviews and understand the volume the team handles. Any clarification or guidance would be very helpful for us to plan our next steps.

Hi, the reviews team will most likely be encountering a high number of submissions currently so delays are to be expected.

I would not advise resubmitting as this will push you to the back of the queue. Please just be patient.
