currently shopify provide a parent linking xml file. I rather need a single sitemap content with all data

It’s not possible to edit the automatically generated sitemap.
If you’re needing to make changes to how your site is crawled however, you can edit the robot.txt file. This includes the option to link to additional sitemaps
