Theme store breaks when using industry filter

Flagging a bug with the industry filter in the theme store:

Steps to recreate:

  • Go to the All themes page
  • Filter by any industry
  • Then select another industry

Even if you are careful and remove the selected industry, and then choose another one, it enters an error state that you can’t fix without navigating away from that page.

It appears that after the initial page load, the first industry selection works as expected. However, a subsequent selection triggers a page reload, and the option only works correctly when selected a second time. It is also no longer possible to select multiple industries.

Hope they’ll fix this soon.

Can’t believe that it has been two days without an answer from Shopify. This is for sure affecting the theme sales.

@Liam-Shopify I see another bug with the filter and recorded a video - Ecommerce Website Templates - Free and Premium Themes for Your Online Store. - 6 February 2026 | Loom . In it, you can see that the Clothing filter is kept even though I have removed all the filters. If I select another filter, it adds it on top of the Clothing.
