Hi everyone,
We’re currently working through our second round of changes to qualify for the Built for Shopify (BFS) tag. One of the consistent requirements flagged during our review has been:
“App must not reduce Lighthouse storefront speed by more than 10 points.”
We’ve rigorously tested this as per Shopify’s performance testing guide
, also :
- Tests were run in incognito mode
- Across multiple browsers
- At different times of the day
So far, the maximum Lighthouse delta we’ve observed is 6 points, which is well within the acceptable limit of 10.
We’ve also reached out to Shopify support, but haven’t received a clear explanation yet. The main challenge is: we’re unable to reproduce the issue reported by the review team.
We’d really appreciate help from:
- Other developers who might’ve faced this and figured it out
- Shopify team members who can share insight into the exact environment or methodology used during their internal review
We’re eager to resolve this and move forward, but we’re blocked without being able to replicate the issue. If anyone can help us better understand how to align with Shopify’s evaluation conditions, it would mean a lot!
Thanks in advance
