We are seeing that validation functions fail to validate in about 5% of cases. We’re using a straightforward, deterministic function, there are no reported errors, yet orders are still slipping through with invalid data. This is concerning. Is there any ongoing issue right now?
Is there anything consistent in the orders that are slipping through? My first thought is are these going through a sales channel where functions don’t run?
My second question is if you’re seeing this across all merchants, or only consistently the same brands?

Many of those orders are paid with Shop Pay or Apple Pay, but some also with credit cards. Haven’t found a pattern yet. I feel like more merchants lately been reporting that issue but we haven’t measure it yet.
Is it possible these are all orders going through express checkout buttons on, for example the PDP page. How do validation functions normally interact with those?
The store we’re investigating only shows those buttons in checkout. The validation functions normally work with them. I’m stumped and out of ideas.
