I have to verify the website, with Google ads and other companies. They have shared the codings and .js files and asked me to add them to the index files folder of my website. Do we know where is the index files or root files folder of the Shopify website? Also, where exactly the Google ads codes can be added as well?

Go to your Shopify admin dashboard and go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you are using and click on 3 dots button > Edit code
Find the file called theme.liquid
paste your google tracking code before tag
I did try it a few times but it didn’t go through, it has a file as well, where is that file to be placed, is there a root folder or index folder where the file can be placed?
I did try adding codes, inside tags… but it just popped up on the top of the website with codes… please share if you have any ideas…
Please upload or copy your file to the /assets folder. After that, you can reference it within other files as needed.
