We’re building a Shopify embedded app that handles affiliate payouts. The payout flow currently uses Stripe transfers to send funds to affiliates

We want to know:

  1. Who should we contact to request permission or guidance for using a third-party payment provider for affiliate payouts in our app?

  2. Is there a Shopify review or approval process for apps that route affiliate payouts through external payment rails?

  3. Are there any Shopify policies or API restrictions we should be aware of for non-merchant payout flows?

Hey @sleepingmonkey, all apps distributed through the Shopify App Store go through a review process before they can be published. The review covers everything from billing practices to how the app handles payments and data.
