Buliding a shopify integration within an softphone

Hi everyone,

I’m a business PO at Sipgate, where we build telecommunication solutions for our 120,000+ customers. Some of them are Shopify shop admins who would like to integrate their Shopify customer data within our softphone. For example, they want to see customer names when a call comes in and log call summaries directly to their Shopify customer profiles.

As a business PO rather than a technical one, I’m finding it challenging to understand what is needed to create this Shopify integration within our software. Also, would we need to publish anything in the Shopify App Store if this integration is only available to our customers?

Has anyone here worked on similar integrations or could guide me on where to start?
