I have an app (Nextdoor) asking for business verification prior to allowing me to claim a business profile under my personal account. They want documents & biz docs that Shopify owners may or may not have when they start out. How can we prove that we have a business, online, under the Shopify name?
I’ve actually had a few apps/sites ask me for proof that I am or will be operating an online store. I certainly don’t have a business checking account (a tax ID #, business license, etc.) yet, so I’m not sure what will suffice. It’s not that big of a deal, but apps/sites like Nextdoor obviously provide exposure for our businesses (which, any exposure is a plus +!) & I’m sure prior to onboarding, etc. is complete, I will run into this same issue. (I probably provided too many screenshots, but just in case!)
Has anyone else experienced this? Which apps/sites have asked you for verification to claim a business profile/page? What did you provide as proof?
