Critical bug with checkout & Shop Pay

Short description of issue

Checkout with ShopPay, press browser back button - you now can’t perform a standard checkout

Reproduction steps

  1. Add an item to cart and proceed to the cart page
  2. Click to checkout with Shop Pay
  3. Press the browser back button
  4. Click to perform a standard checkout

Notice that the user is now unable to checkout.

Please note, this seems to apply platform wide. I’m using the demo URL for the Xtra theme https://xtra-warehouse.myshopify.com to illustrate as it’s the first demo store I found with Shop Pay enabled. This is not a bug with Xtra.

Additional info

Clearing the two ‘cart’ cookies will empty the cart, and reset the issue, such that you can checkout using the standard checkout button again.

This issue available on many themes (as i thinks, is a some issue from shopify side)

We checked it and some customers contact us to help with this.
