Customer Account sidebar does not close after SPA navigation in app extension

Hi Shopify team,

I am experiencing an issue on mobile where the Customer Account sidebar remains open after navigating between app extension pages.

## Reproduction steps

  1. Open the Customer Account sidebar menu on mobile.

  2. Tap an app extension link.

  3. The sidebar closes correctly.

  4. Open the sidebar again.

  5. Tap another app extension link.

  6. The sidebar remains open.

## Expected behavior

The sidebar should close after each navigation.

## Actual behavior

After navigating between app extension pages, the sidebar no longer closes correctly and remains visible.

## Comparison

  • Shopify standard pages such as Profile and Orders close the sidebar correctly every time.

  • App extension pages appear to keep the sidebar open after subsequent navigations.

## Environment

  • Device: iPhone

  • Browser: Safari

## Question

Is this an expected limitation of Customer Account app extensions, or is there a recommended way to handle sidebar state during SPA navigation?
