I’m submitting my app for App Store review but the embedded app checks have been stuck pending.
Stuck checks:
- Using the latest App Bridge script loaded from Shopify’s CDN
- Using session tokens for user authentication
App details:
- App name: Buythelook
- Partner ID: 4592003
- App ID: 374643654657
What I’ve done:
- Installed and tested app on multiple dev stores
- Disabled ad blocker and interacted with app
- Waited for auto-check (says every 2 hours)
- App works correctly, loads in iframe, uses App Bridge
All other checks passed:
Immediately authenticates after install
Immediately redirects to app UI after authentication
Provides mandatory compliance webhooks
Verifies webhooks with HMAC signatures
Uses a valid TLS certificate
Please manually verify the embedded app checks so I can submit for review.

I checked the data these embedded checks rely on for your app (ID 374643654657), and it’s already detecting Buythelook as an embedded app using the App Bridge script from Shopify’s CDN and using session tokens for authentication. So both signals the checks look for are present and correctly attributed to the app you submitted.
We can’t manually pass or expedite these checks from our side, but since the underlying data already qualifies, they should flip green on one of the upcoming automated cycles (they run roughly every 2 hours). The most reliable way to keep that moving is to keep logging in and interacting with the app embedded in the admin on a dev store, at admin.shopify.com/store/{your-store}/apps/{your-app}, so fresh session data keeps flowing. There’s no need to recreate the app or worry about resubmitting later, since resubmitting an app slows the review process down rather than speeding it up.
If both checks are still pending after another 24hrs, reply here with a screenshot of the embedded checks section and roughly how long they’ve been stuck, and I’ll get the App Store review team to look at why they aren’t updating on their end.
