Feature request: Allow collaborator access to multiple stores in a Shopify Plus organization from a single request

Hi Shopify team,

As Partners, we’ve repeatedly encountered confusion when requesting collaborator access to multiple stores within the same Shopify Plus organization.

We are already aware of the workaround to the “role name already exists” error (merchants must manually assign the previously created role when approving the second access request). However, this still causes frustration and friction, as we often have to explain the same thing over and over to merchants… Most of them don’t understand the error or what they’re supposed to do.

To improve this experience it would be cool if you allow Partners to send a single collaborator access request to an organization, requesting access to multiple stores in one go.

This would:

  • Simplify the flow for merchants with multiple stores.
  • Avoid role duplication errors or manual assignment.
  • Reduce support time and confusion on both sides.
  • Reflect the organizational structure of Plus merchants more accurately.

We believe this would be a very valuable improvement for all Partners working with Shopify Plus clients with multiple expansion stores

Thanks for sharing this feedback. I can clearly see how requesting multiple organization stores in a single request would be valuable to both partners and our plus merchants. I have flagged it internally and our team is looking in to it. I don’t currently have a timeline on when/if this will be implemented. If added it will be mentioned in our developers changelog.
