So it appears that roles created by clients and assigned to Collaborator accounts don’t actually have any impact whatsoever…
When collaborator access is now requested on a Plus Store (Organization) it actually seems to create a role specifically for that Collaborator account. It’s actually possible for the client to delete the role, upon which your access is broken.
Even if the client creates a new role and assigns it to your account, because they don’t appear to have any impact
The client can’t actually expand your access onto additional stores like they would for a staff user, instead the collaborator has to request access to the other store within the Organization which creates an additional role, and also shows a second user within the users list.
Our client of course assumed this was a mistake and deleted the second second user, because with roles you can assign them multiple stores (but it doesn’t actually do anything on collab accounts).
I don’t have any videos/images I’m afraid due to sensitive data on the clients store. After the client had removed our roles (as they created new ones for external developers) we had to request they remove us so that we could re-request access to fix things.
