Hello,

I’ve seen that on some store, Shopify is experiemnting with a new design for the theme editor, where right sidebar is collapsed by default to give more screen estate.

This is a welcome change, but I feel some things are now quite hidden into the interface. For instance, accessing global theme settings and app embeds is now quite hidden.

I feel having plain text in addition to icons would help a lot unfamiliar merchants (see the attached mockups).

Hey @bakura10, thanks for sharing this feedback.

You’re right that the collapsed sidebar gives more room to preview the store, which is great, but discoverability of things like global theme settings and app embeds shouldn’t suffer for it. Adding text labels alongside the icons is also a solid suggestion. I’ve flagged both of these points with the team working on the editor updates. Thanks for taking the time to put this together!
