Issue of partner payout amounts

Has anyone encountered a situation where the partner payout amount does not match the subtotal in the exported CSV file?

The last three payouts have all had this situation. They are all slightly off, by about 0.5 to 1 dollar. The main issue is that I need to use the CSV details for reporting, so the total amount reported each time is incorrect.

I’m sorry, I can’t directly send my data for you to check, but I hope Shopify officials/you can check it yourself.

By the way, the actual amount received by my bank is equal to the partner payout amount

Hey @dave_hu,

Partner payout discrepancies need investigation from our support team since they can access your financial data directly. Reach out through the Help Center while logged into your Partner organization (not a dev store), so they can compare the payout amount against the CSV export details.

I spoke with the support person you mentioned today.

I’m feeling quite frustrated.

1. He seems to lack the authority to compare the data I provided himself and instead asked me to upload screenshots.

2. His explanation is also concerning. He mentioned that the data changes are due to minor figures/rounding, but as far as I know, there were no similar issues two months ago.

Here is his original explanation: “My team shared a few updates. Currently, the payout amount displayed in the Partner Dashboard reflects the total funds transferred to the partner, encompassing all transactions after fees, adjustments, refunds, and currency conversions. The CSV export provides line items for individual transactions, fees, and adjustments. When you sum these line items, slight rounding differences or timing variations in transaction recording can cause the total to differ slightly from the payout amount. Additionally, currency conversion rates and fees applied at the time of payout can also lead to minor discrepancies between the payout amount and the sum of transactions in the CSV.”

The reason I care about this issue is that I need to declare every entry I make, and the declaration requires submitting detailed items. The current detailed list only allows me to fabricate a few decimal places so that the numbers can add up correctly in the end. This is not what I want; it makes me feel like I am committing fraud. During the annual financial audit, it makes me feel like I am engaging in financial fraud. This is not my intention at all.

@KyleG-Shopify can you please DM us as well?

We used to be able to export a payout and total the “Partner Share” column to arrive at the deposit amount.

Starting with the period that covers December 16, 2025 - January 1, 2026 this is no longer the case.

Happy to share more specifics privately.

I have replied to your DM. Did you receive it?

Hey @agechecker, thanks for the offer. Since we do have multiple people here reporting it, I’ll see what I can find working with Dave, so I can report back for everyone. If I do need some additional details though, I’ll send you a DM.

Hey @dave_hu and @agechecker, update on this one.

I’ve confirmed this is a known issue with the Partner payout CSV export. The CSV is not accurately reflecting payout details in some instnces. For reporting purposes, your dashboard amounts and bank deposits are correct.

I don’t have a timeline for a fix yet, but I’ll update this thread when it’s resolved.

Thank you @KyleG-Shopify ! Following this thread for updates.

Hoping it can be fixed sooner than later, as we need the ability to report on what comprises each deposit. Do you know of another way at the moment?

A little update, at this period of the payment, the CSV file’s detail is correct now.

Not for us unfortunately. It’s still off for the most recent period (Feb 16th - Mar 1st).
