Looking for feedback: Chrome extension for Shopify collaborator access workflows

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

I’ve been working on a Chrome extension called Shopify Collab Request, and I’d love to get feedback from other Shopify developers, Partners, agencies, freelancers, and support teams.

It’s built around a pretty specific workflow: requesting collaborator access to Shopify stores.

If you only do this once in a while, it’s probably not a huge pain. But if you’re requesting access to multiple stores every week, or working in support where you regularly need merchant access, the repeated steps can start to add up.

The extension is designed to help with things like:

  • saving reusable access profiles

  • saving store URLs

  • saving collaborator request codes

  • Opening the collaborator request flow faster

  • keeping track of pending requests

  • monitoring stores that may need follow-up

  • backing up/restoring your setup

  • tracking estimated time saved

The collab tracker is one of the areas I’m especially interested in getting feedback on. The idea is to make it easier to stay aware of requests that are still pending, stores that have been approved, and access that may need checking or follow-up later.

This is still early, so I’m mainly looking for honest feedback from people who actually deal with collaborator access workflows.

A few things I’d love feedback on:

  • Does this solve a real workflow issue for you?

  • Is the collab tracker useful in practice?

  • Are there permissions/profile setups you’d expect to reuse often?

  • Is there anything missing that would make this more useful for agencies, developers, or support teams?

Appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, or criticism.
