🚨 Need help from a Shopify Advisor — Built for Shopify submission issue

Hey everyone,

We submitted our app for the Built for Shopify (BFS) program about a month ago and have been waiting for a response ever since.

Here’s what happened:
→ We submitted and waited the full review period
→ No email was ever received (approval, rejection, or change request)
→ Our distribution status silently reverted back to “Apply for Built for Shopify”
→ Shopify support confirmed on their end that no email was ever sent to us

So right now we’re stuck — we don’t know if we were rejected, if something went wrong in the process, or if we simply need to reapply and why ??. And we’re hesitant to just hit “Apply” again without understanding what happened the first time.

Is there any Advisor or someone with experience navigating BFS reviews who can help us figure out:

  1. What our actual review status is
  2. Whether any feedback was logged on Shopify’s side
  3. Whether reapplying is the right move here

Any guidance would be hugely appreciated — this has been a frustrating dead end and we just want to move forward. :folded_hands:

I would not recommend re-applying for Build for Shopify. We are seeing longer review times due to higher app reviews generally, so I’m thinking this could be the source of the delay. Let me dig into this and I’ll DM you with details.
