Please add myshopify domain back to emails

I don’t know if this is the best place for such a request, but we’ve recently noticed that the format of emails sent from the AppStore by merchants doesn’t contain the myshopify domain anymore.

The myshopify domain is the main “ID” by which we identify merchant accounts. Without this info, we have to open their website and call Shopify.shop in the inspector panel to get that domain, adding more steps and friction in the process.

It would also be great to have the sender’s email listed in the body of the message like before. We also use that to identify the sender. Now, we must click “reply” before we can see and select the sender’s address.

The other thing (a bit of a nitpick) is that the design of the email is kind of difficult to read at a glance. The actual message is in a small font and sits below a horizontal line that makes it seem like it’s the footer or something. A few times already I thought the merchant had sent an empty message.

Hi @flavio-b

We did make some recent changes to the experience where merchants can contact partners via the app store. Will connect with the internal team and raise this feedback.

DMing you for more details on this

I agree, I’m not a huge fan of the new layout either, although it’s fine overall. The missing myshopify domain does make things more difficult though. It would be great if it could be added back in.

Hey folks - should have an update on this soon
