Problems with Changing Partner's Email Account

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone can help me with this. I talked to support, but they didn’t have any idea. I needed to change my Shopify Partner’s email account and received a notification stating, “This will affect 8 stores and your Partner account. If you’d like to change your email address for a single store, learn how to transfer ownership.”

Initially, I understood that if I changed my email address, the login for the other stores would automatically change as well. That’s how I interpreted it, but it turns out that it only changed my Partner login to the new email address, and I have to update each store with the new email address. I can do that manually, but here are my questions:

  1. Why are my 8 stores affected by this email change if it isn’t related to the login? I can log in to each store just fine through the dashboard, but in each store’s settings, they are still using my old email address.
  2. I no longer have access to https://community.shopify.com/ after changing my email address; I was prompted to create a new account. Shouldn’t it have been automatically updated too? How can I access or merge my old account?
  3. In https://community.shopify.dev/u/user/preferences/account, there’s an OpenID Connect that’s still using my old email account. How can I change this, or will it be affected by the recent email change? I only added an alternate email to this Shopify Dev community, hoping I won’t lose this account as well.
