Question about the dev dashboard extensions migration

I got the email about the extensions migration and I’m a bit confused. The email says “During September, your app(s) will be automatically migrated”.

Does this mean that I should do the extensions migration shown in the documentation now? Or will I be notified when my apps were migrated to the new dashboard and I should perform the migration after that?

You will need to perform the deploy step described in the documentation after the migration.

Thank you! Will I get an email when my apps are migrated by Shopify or something?

Also, after this migration, if I want to update my extensions for a fix or anything, I do need to perform the migration before that, right?

I’ve tried to migrate to dev dashboard, but with no luck:

  1. I can’t enter to the dev dashboard because of 403 code

  2. When I do deployment, my shopify.extension.toml files don’t change.

Is this because the migration is not done for our account?

There isn’t an email when your organization migrates but you will notice that your apps are all available in the dev dashboard and that you can no longer create apps in the partners dashboard.

You do not need to immediately update your extensions, but when you next want to release a new version of your app the extensions will be updated with that new version.

Thank you for your answers @TerenceShopify, i find it quite inconvenient that we don’t get notified, but still, I think it’s not that terrible being a one time thing.
