Shopify App Review Still "Assigning a Reviewer" After 5 Days - How Long Does It Take?

Hi everyone,

We submitted our public app for Shopify App Store review, and it has now been 5 days. The Partner Dashboard is still showing:
“We’re assigning a reviewer to your submission.”

We haven’t received any email or update from the App Review team yet.

Wanted to check with other developers and the Shopify team:

  • How long does it usually take for a reviewer to be assigned?
  • Is this status normal after 5 days?
  • Is there any official email or contact where we can check the review status?

Any recent experience or guidance would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hi, 5 days is quite minimal. Please have some patience.

It will depend on current load the reviewers have, but for us it has usually taken between 1 and 3 weeks.
