Shopify public app under review for 9+ days — still "assigning a reviewer" — seeking guidance

Hi Shopify community,

I submitted my public app Karoohi Marketing Popups to the App Store on
26 March 2026 (Reference: 106537) and it has been showing
“We’re assigning a reviewer to your submission” for 9+ days now.

I have not received any rejection, approval, or action-required email.

**My questions:**

  1. Is 9+ days in “assigning a reviewer” status normal, or is something stuck on my submission?

  1. The confirmation email says “Please don’t reply to this email”, what is the correct channel to follow up on review status?

  2. My App Proxy uses the `write_app_proxy` scope to serve the popup JS to storefronts. Is this scope considered high-risk during review?

  3. Is there anything I should proactively check or improve while waiting, without needing to withdraw and resubmit?

Any guidance from the community or Shopify staff is appreciated.

9 days is nothing currently, the review team are receiving a high number of submissions and the Shopify team have said themselves that you’re looking at around ~30 days currently.
