Site url keeps getting blocked by google!

Hi all,

I’m managing a client site built on Shopify: https://www.next-generation-solar.co.uk

Here’s the issue:

All pages are indexed (confirmed via site:next-generation-solar.co.uk)

  • However, none of the pages appear in normal Google searches, even when searching for exact page titles (e.g. “Sarah Bruce: Harnessing Solar Power for a Sustainable Home”)
  • Even branded searches like “Next Generation Solar” don’t return the site at all

To add context, we’ve had an ongoing issue with the client’s Google Business Profile — the website keeps getting approved and then blocked again, without explanation. I suspect this may have triggered a temporary suppression or trust flag on the domain in Google Search.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could Shopify-specific domain settings or theme structure contribute to this? And are there any best practices for resolving visibility suppression while this is under review by Google?

Appreciate any insights — time-sensitive as the client is losing traffic and enquiries.

Thanks,
Matthew

Hi @Matthew_Burke

Have you set up Google Search Console on your client’s site?

That might lead to some more details. The links might be discovered but not indexed. You can test individual URLs with the Search Console and it gives you more pointed feedback.
