Store Resource Limits - maxProductVariants still limited to 100?

Hi guys,

I’m looking to use 2000 variants which I thought was released in the December 14th update, but my store is still limited to 100.

Response body: {
“data”: {
“shop”: {
“name”: “The Print Company”,
“resourceLimits”: {
“maxProductVariants”: 100,
“maxProductOptions”: 3
}
}
},

Can someone working in Shopify update my limit to 2000?

The 2000 Variant limit isn’t being released to all stores until early 2025. I can’t remember if there was a more exact timeframe than that.

Is there a way of getting it expedited? My whole shop is reliant on it, it’s a printing store so the items have loads of variants. Obviously I hadn’t realised this would be an issue, before I started developing it.

Hi again JohnDev,

From early February, merchants on Plus stores will be able to opt-in to the 2K variants feature. See this post for more info: New GraphQL product APIs and early access to 2048 (aka 2K) variants
