Theme Editor Drag-and-Drop Broken in Chromium Browsers

Hi team,
As of today, I can no longer reorder sections in the Theme Editor using Chrome, Edge, or Opera. The drag-and-drop interface does not respond at all.

I’ve tested:

  • On multiple devices and profiles
  • In Incognito and with all extensions disabled
  • In Chrome, Edge, and Opera (all fail)
  • In Firefox (works fine)

This was working yesterday and has now stopped across all Chromium-based browsers, suggesting a recent change on Shopify’s end has broken the functionality.

Please escalate this to the development team for review.

Hi @Philip_Sole, are you still able to reproduce the issue? We are aware of a regression that shipped last week, but that was promptly resolved.

If you are still able to reproduce the issue, can you share a video reproducing the issue? When did this regression start happening for you? Are you using a laptop that has a touch-capable screen?
